Felix has been involved with the theatre and entertainment industry for over 30 years. He started his artistic career at the age of 13 by joining Odessa Mime Theatre-Studio and spent the next 7 years learning classical mime movement and stage skills in the style of Ethienne Decroux and Marcel Marceau. He has been involved in the physical theatre ever since.
Felix has a rich history of performing and directing in Australia and internationally, performing, directing and producing dozens of shows and productions around the world.
In the last 10 years he directed and produced a number of shows, including “Two Mimes Show” (Playhouse Theatre, NIDA 2008, Director, Performer.), “A Case for Gesture” (Seymour Centre 2010 Director, Performer). “Flight” by M. Bulgakov. (Movement Coach, NIDA production 2010,.) “Hypochondriac” by Moliere for Canberra Grammar School, 2012 (Producer, Director). His production of “Le School” in 2011 (Producer, Director) received 7 nominations by Canberra Area Theatre Awards, winning 5 of them, including Best Production, Best Original Work (Script) Best Technical Achievement, Magic Moment in Theatre, Best Ensemble.
Felix possesses extensive teaching experience. Over time he ran a number of studios for adults and children, presented specialised training courses and Master Classes in Classical Mime, Gesture, Mask, Sentimental (Theatrical) Clown and Psychophysical State of the Body course based on teachings of K. Stanislavsky. For the past 10 years he taught Actors and Directors at NIDA, The Actors Pulse, Canberra Youth Theatre and many schools in Australia and internationally.
