Alex Blias is an Australian television, film and theatre actor with a high level of dramatic versatility.
Launching his career with a supporting role in the 1998 film Spank, Alex relocated to Sydney in 2000 for the film’s release and was signed to Morrissey Management shortly afterwards. From there, Alex’s career jumped rapidly forward as he went on to work in television, film and theatre roles.
His television credits include the popular Australian medical drama, All Saints and two seasons of Always Greener which followed two families as they switch homes and steer their lives in a new direction.
Alex also appeared on Life Support, Let’s Vote and was a regular guest on long-running series Home and Away between 2000 - 2009.
He took a lead role in the award-winning ABC3 series My Place which tells the story of 1 house in south Sydney shared by the generations of children who lived there since 1788.
Alex also appears in the third season of the high rating series Underbelly (The Golden Mile).
The versatile actor’s film roles include a support lead in the feature film Get Rich Quick and award-winning short films including Gambler, Saviour, Inextricable and Romance.
His theatre credits include major roles with the State Theatre Company of South Australia in Courtyard of Miracles and Lightening Strike Theatre in Much Ado About Nothing.
In 2005 and 2006 he also performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Cracker Comedy Festival.
A graduate of the Sanford Meisner technique, Alex has received numerous awards throughout his career, including Best Actor at Sydney Film Festival in 2001.
