Luke Ford a graduate of The Actor's Pulse, is an in demand actor nationally and internationally. He has recently completed filming ‘The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor’ with Director Rob Cohen. Starring opposite Brendan Fraser and Jet Li, Luke plays Alex O'Connell - son of Rick O'Connell (Fraser).
His film ‘The Black Balloon’ that he stars alongside Toni Collette, Gemma Ward and Rhys Wakefield, premiered at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival where it garnered rave reviews for the film and performances as well as taking home ‘The Crystal Bear Award’ for ‘The Generation 14 Plus Section’. Luke then went on to win an AFI for best actor in a supporting role at the 2008 Australian Film Awards. Luke also starred in ‘Kokoda’, the most anticipated Australian war film since Mel Gibson's ‘Gallipoli’.
Luke's Australian television credits include ‘Breakers’, ‘Water Rats’, ‘Home and Away’, ‘Stingers’, ‘All Saints’, ‘Headland’ and ‘McLeod's Daughters’ (for which he was short listed for a 'Best New Talent' Logie). His international credits include ‘The Junction Boys’ with Tom Berenger and ‘Hercules’, with Timothy Dalton and Sean Astin.
Luke has been a teacher at The Actor’s Pulse since 2003.
